Job Description: Serve as a resource and provide general assistance to student leaders and organization advisors on various issues affecting student organizations at the University of Florida
• Advise student leaders on issues and policies affecting student organizations such as organization registration, developing and interpreting the organization's constitution, advising, use of UF facilities and other resources, and student leader eligibility requirements
• Advise and assist student leaders in various aspects of organization operations such as organization wellness, planning, budgeting and fiscal management, contracts, officer transitions, safety, liability and risk management, event planning and management, and resolving conflict
• Advise and assist with the student organization event permitting process, risk management, and on-site event management for various student organizations and campus events
• Provide onsite event management and risk management oversight for student organization and campus events including but not limited to Homecoming, GatorDays, and GatorNights
• Advise student organization advisors on various student organization operations such as use of UF facilities and resources, organization wellness, student officer eligibility and transitions, safety, liability and risk management, event planning, and policies and procedures that may impact student organizationsProvide comprehensive support services for registered student organizations and student organization advisors.
• Manage the coordination and implementation of the student organization registration process
• Manage the coordination of a comprehensive training program (including workshops, individual consultations, and peer education) for registered student organization officers on topics such as leadership skills, budgeting and financial management, event planning and management, setting goals, liability and risk management, and program evaluation
• Assist with the implementation of student organization and student organization advisor recognition programs
• Assist in the management of the student organization database (Gator Connect) and work with software provider to make continued improvements to the database
• Assist in the management of the performer contracting process for all student organization and department programs and events Serve as point of contact and provide oversight for specific student organizations (as assigned)
• Serve as primary Student Activities and Involvement point of contact for a designated group of student organizations, providing support related to registration, programming, event management, and operations
• Assist in providing oversight and advisement for major campus-wide events as assignedAssist with administrative functions of student activities and involvement
• Assist with budget planning and reporting; maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure proper procedures, controls, and financial guidelines for all areas including organization expenditures
• Assist with the coordination of administrative programs for SAI sponsored student organizations such as catering scholarships, officer eligibility, space allocations, and other administrative programs.
• Coordinate assessments of student organization advisor program that includes but is not limited to benchmarking, advisor orientation and onboarding, recurring training, and regular communication.
• Report appropriate information as required by Clery Act and Title IX.
• Assist with marketing and promotions strategy for educating students and encouraging co-curricular involvement
• Coordinate with other departments across campus as needed, including but not limited to Event Services, University Police Department, Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution and other campus venue managersDevelop reports, handle special projects, and perform other duties (as assigned) Expected Salary:$48,000/year

Minimum Requirements:Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

• Demonstrated proficiency with computers, basic software applications, and website content management systems

• Demonstrated ability to advise students and work with student organizations at the college or university level
• Demonstrated ability to plan and manage events
• Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
• Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
