The College of Engineering at Michigan State University is hiring a fixed-term faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.The primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to work with various organizations to formulate and translate concepts for new initiatives.Candidates must have an earned PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline.

Responsibilities
• Work with the University Research Organization, College of Engineering, and other entities to develop new initiatives in defense-related applications.• Specific areas of focus include antenna design, RF integrated circuit technology, phased-arrays and distributed apertures, physical installations, integration of RF front-end electronics with antenna systems, and radiation effects testing for space electronics.• Establish a sustainable, externally-funded, and internationally visible research program.• Make significant scholarly contributions to the discipline.• Mentor undergraduate and graduate students.• Engage in institutional and professional service.• Contribute toward the university's mission in diversity, equity, and inclusion.• Describe potential impacts of research focus and how work complements existing strengths in the Department.• Possibility of joint appointments with other engineering departments.• Enhance the reputation of MSU through professional activities.
