The School for the Environment is seeking a Distinguished Professor of Coastal ResilienceExpertise in nature-based approaches and climate change adaptationOpportunities to collaborate with various partners and promote climate equity
Job seniority: director level and above
Responsibilities
• Analyze and model effects of storms, sea-level rise, and warming oceans on Northeastern estuaries• Take on a leadership role in The Stone Living Lab• Collaborate with colleagues in various disciplines and work with stakeholders and urban communities• Teach undergraduate and graduate students and mentor graduate students• Build a strong program of externally funded research and promote diversity in the environmental sciences
Requirements
• Ph.D. with post-doctoral experience and 6 years of project leadership• Capability to conduct active, externally funded research and supervise students• Ability to contribute to teaching needs in environmental and marine sciences• Strong interest in promoting diversity within the School, the University, and science fields
