We are searching high and low for the ideal candidate to act as Professional Assistant to a very busy owner.
The ideal Candidate Is :
A detail-oriented self-starter with at least 2 years of prior restaurant experience in some capacity. Management experience will greatly help, though not required;  this is not a team management position . Someone who exhibits sound judgment with the ability to prioritize and make decisions. Resourceful, can-do attitude. Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Include: This position works directly with the owner to support all aspects of his work routine: Weekly processing and reconciling of daily deposits and cash-outs. Biweekly payroll: monitoring and adjusting timecards, accurate payroll processing in Quickbooks Desktop. Determine priority of matters of attention for the owner, redirect matters to staff to handle, or handle matters personally, as appropriate. Liquor, beer, and wine inventory ordering. Maintain inventory of certain restaurant supplies and reorder as necessary from various vendors. Schedule necessary maintenance visits. Sort through job applicants to determine qualified candidates and schedule interviews to be conducted by owner or management. Onboard new employees. Draft, review and send communications on behalf of owner in the spirit and tone of the brand (social media, email, etc.) Respond to voicemails, communicate messages and information to the owner. Submit timely tax payments to appropriate agencies (sales tax, wage withholding, etc.) Light errand running. Petty cash management. Managing Accounts payable. Manage the owner's calendar, including making appointments and prioritizing the most sensitive matters. Maintain various records and documents for the company. Schedule departmental meetings; assist in the preparation and distribution of meeting agendas; attend meetings and take notes of discussions. Maintain confidential and sensitive information. A confidentiality agreement must be signed. Sort and triage mail Routinely perform a variety of support duties Skillset and Qualifications :
Working knowledge of the restaurant industry Excellent written and verbal communication skills Time-management skills Ability to pay attention to detail Organization skills Ability to multitask Interpersonal skills Proficient in Google Workspace. Proficient in or willing to learn: Clover POS, Quickbooks, Homebase, Slack App, et. al. *LGBTQIA+ always welcome at Shuga's*
