Production Technician

Job Summary: A global plastic manufacturer that has been in business for 100 years, has a diversified client base (automotive, packaging, printing and food) and prides itself on offering advancement opportunities to all of the team members is looking to add to their Production Team. This position is responsible to m onitor the molding/automation/assembly process, support and constant improvement of production with regard to deadlines, costs and quality, analyze production defects and the following elimination of those defects, ensure product quality while meeting and exceeding productivity goals through effective use of provided resources.
Location: Grand Rapids MI
Position Type: Full-Time Direct Hire
Pay: $28.50/hour based on experience
Shift: 2 nd and 3 rd shift
Qualifications: Oversee the molding set up process, mold change overs and verify adherence to proper documentation according to iwis quality system requirements. Troubleshoot equipment while following start-up and shut down procedures. Ensure that process parameters are not deviating from master set up sheet Monitor the molding/automation/assembly process. Responsible for the support and constant improvement of production with regard to deadlines, costs and quality. Analyze production defects and the following elimination of those defects. Ensure product quality while meeting and exceeding productivity goals through effective use of provided resources. Must speak and write fluent English High school diploma or equivalent 6+ months of manufacturing experience.
