To support that challenge, the seed conditioning department is currently seeking a Production Technician in Pasco, WA.
You will help shape the future of agriculture by: Organizing, performing and leading in assigned department to ensure all required processes, procedures, and production requirements are met
Working primarily in seed conditioning and in corn seed processing during annual corn harvest. May also assist in receiving, labeling, treating, packaging, or other areas as required to meet plant needs
Accountabilities Adherence to all applicable HSE and other corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines. Responsible for product quality assessments and adherence to product specifications. A proactive response when seed is not meeting approved Product Specifications standards. Assist with product quality sampling per established procedures. Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and routinely inspected. Ensure all equipment clean-downs and changeovers are done correctly to eliminate any product contamination or seed mixture. Provide leadership and overall seed quality expertise to department production team members Fill all orders per production order instructions. Communicate issues in a timely and effective manner interdepartmentally and cross functionally. Diligent continuous improvement processing efforts with accompanying employee motivations. Responsible for maintaining, documenting, and adherence to established plant operating procedures. Development and execution of processing plans required to meet key business strategies and product availability requirements. Assist in presenting of all safety training classes. Lead and direct employees and third-party personnel as required. Perform other duties as required to meet plant or site needs. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required AA or bachelor's degree highly preferred Knowledge of office functions and processes, including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
