This position must become capable of conducting all Pro Tech job assignments and facilitate or coordinate training pertaining to those requirements. Training requirements to include safety, technical, 5S, autonomous maintenance, and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologies.  This position will also function as Insinkerator's WCM Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Specialist and with support from manufacturing engineers and subject matter experts, this role will help define AM responsibilities.The Pro Tech Program Leader will have dotted-line responsibility for Pro Techs while the Production Supervisors maintain direct oversight. Although this is primarily a 1st shift position, this person will be required to work split shifts to support off shifts. (i.e. 5am - 1pm twice a week, 9am - 5pm twice a week, one day 7am-3pm)As a part of the Continuous Improvement (C.I.) department, this role will support various C.I. initiatives as secondary responsibilities.Your responsibilities will includePartner with operations leadership to develop and continuously improve the Pro Tech training and support programLearns all HMI and machine fault clearance actions within approved scopeTrains Pro Techs into complete job effectivenessValidates training effectiveness and tracks training progressMaintains and processes training records in ETQConducts group and one on one trainingInterfaces with supervisors, manufacturing engineers, technical support groups and the WCM team to foster alignment and the standardization of Pro Tech responsibilitiesContinuous learning to improve the groups efficiency and potential for increased scope Collaborates with supervisors on personnel performance opportunitiesEstablish documentation such as, training material and work instructionsUnderstand WCM AM responsibilities and train others in AM pillar methodologySupport AM pillar progress and present during WCM audits as requestedSupport improvement projects as assignedMinimum requirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience trainingMust pass Production Tech interview testMust acquire and maintain LOTO authorization after hireMust acquire and maintain Training Within Industry (TWI) certification after hirePreferred skills and experiencesMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have a average computer competency, Google Workspace preferredStrong leadership ability, with the ability to influence othersUnderstanding of Leader Standard Work a plusPost high school technical training in the following areas is a plus: electrical, electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanicsOrganized and detail-orientedAbility to build effective working relationships throughout the organizationConnect with us and learn more about Whirlpool CorporationSee what it's like to work at Whirlpool by visiting Whirlpool Careers.
