About the Role:Thistle wants to expand our production team with professional individuals to assist with production-plating and pack functions. This position is ideal for someone looking to work hard in a fast-paced environment.Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Production Lead is responsible for leading a team of Production Associates on the production floor. Production Leads ensure the production function is performed satisfactorily on the Production Line, including plating and packaging meals, snacks, and beverages.What you'll do:Support Production Leadership in overseeing production process on production lines, including production execution, Quality Control/Quality Assurance and time trackingEnsure employees are following GMPs ensuring that products are consistently produced and controlled according to policyMaintain working knowledge of and assist with implementation of new and existing SOPs and policies across production teams; ensure processes and policies are adhered to at all timesOrganize the line with the correct components and materialsEnsure all documentation is conducted, completed and submitted on timeEnsure that Meal Towers are properly labeled with correct amount, date, meal codeIdentify and communicate all shorts including, but not limited to, bin weights, components, meal count shorts, etc.Properly update all communication on Slack and other necessary methodsAttend consistent safety meetings; keep track of policy changes and rolloutsSupport leadership in ensuring OSHA compliance standards are adhered at all times by staffSupport leadership with internal QA Audits initiativesWhat you'll bring:High school diploma or equivalent required1+ years related experience required; experience in a high-paced food manufacturing environment highly preferredDesire to grow into leadership positions and develop leadership skillsStrong communication skills that put people first and the ability to balance empathy and direct feedback to both support and advocate for the team and also maintain consistent standards of performanceAbility to form effective working relationships with a cross-functional teamAbility to adhere to company SOPs and implement new initiatives as neededAbility and willingness to master new equipment and related automation as implemented.Valid NJ Food Handlers Certification(must be obtained within 30 days of hire)Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and walking throughout the facilityAbility to consistently life up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 poundsAbility to work in a cold environment(38 degrees) for prolonged periods of time$23 - $26 an hourThe starting hourly rate for this position is $23.00 out of the pay band range of $23.00 - 26.00 and represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of the posting.Get to Know ThistleThistle was founded in 2013 with a mission to make it easy to get and stay healthy while improving the sustainability of our food system.
