A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRODUCTION APPRENTICE As a Production Apprentice, you run insulation jobs, working side-by-side with your crew and managing customer expectations to protect our company reputation and job margins. As the primary face-to-face contact for homeowners, you make sure that they receive the "wow service" that we are known for. Throughout the project, you work directly alongside your crew of up to three members. Under your leadership, morale is high and each crew member is inspired to take pride in their work. On top of installing our products and services with your team, you manage the paperwork, contracts, materials, and labor on jobs.
Maintaining open communication with the homeowner, you keep them updated on the progress, earn added income by upselling products, execute agreed-upon change orders, and collect payments. As a team player, you work closely with the production manager on training and insulation job progress. You get great satisfaction out of delivering jobs at or below budget while maintaining customer satisfaction and employee retention!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PRODUCTION APPRENTICE Previous contracting experience in any construction field Ability to work on roofs, in hot attics, and in damp crawlspaces and attics Basic computer literacy Valid driver's license and good driving record Ability to work out of town overnight as needed Own tools and cell phone Exceptional customer service skills Leadership ability Contracting experience does not have to be specifically in insulation. Ultimately, we hire based on attitude. We provide ongoing training to attain industry certifications, including training at the National Energy Training Center in Seymour, CT.
