Job Description Plans, develops, and coordinates training programs for DDG, LHA, and LPD class ships. Obtains information needed to prepare classroom and shipboard training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
Basic Qualifications 6 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 4 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree.
Preferred Qualifications 4 years or more experience as a classroom instructor. Master Training Specialist or similar qualification. Shipboard experience with amphibious operations. Apprentice Certification. Training in the instructional design process and prior shipboard experience. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Must be able to work within a highly motivated team environment, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in a classroom and shipboard environment. Ability to work in an industrial environment.
