As a Technical (financial reporting) product owner, this role will be responsible for maximizing product value by defining product goals, product roadmap, and managing the product backlog. Product Strategy, prioritization and stakeholder management is also expected while acting as the bridge between the development team and the other product owners.
The candidate will be working closely with the stakeholders across the organization to scope & create roadmaps and requirements, and deliver on-time & high-quality financial products that align with
the business goals. Will support the enterprise strategy of developing an improved & consistent financial reporting process, while serving as a primary liaison between
Business, Engineering and additional product management workstreams. Must be experienced in managing all aspects of roadmap creation, backlog grooming and feature & story refinement. Familiarity with gathering requests and requirements,
effective prioritization and decomposition into deliverables are also needed. Understanding of financial aspects and processes is an added bonus.
What will you be doing?
Appropriately capture feature requests, use cases, POC requests and organize them into prioritized backlogs
Work closely with the engineering partners to develop & document deliverables such as features, user stories, related documentation, release notes etc.
Support agile values by adhering to the agile principles and practices, along with specific ceremonies and approaches
Assist scrum master in assessing the team maturity, and implementing any processes that support the team.
Immediate focus areas include, but not limited to –
Enterprise Operations Reporting – Requirement refinement as well as new build focused on Enterprise Operations Pilot data.
Current MVP spans Ops Intake, delivery, labor & capacity; expected to increase as the initiative matures
Technology Pathfinder specific reporting – Estimation changes, Value Based Prioritization & Roadmap reporting amongst others
Portfolio Budget & Spend, Value based initiative reporting & overall portfolio roadmap visualization
Financial Reporting – Weekly & monthly USM & EN Financial Actuals reporting
Possible future state enterprise financial alignment will require additional focus on accurate financial capture, data investigations and reporting
Capacity & Financial Reporting
Data analysis and visualization related to Enterprise Team Catalog (ETC), Rostering (FAST), Cost Model (TCO / JCM) & Capacity (Supply/Demand) analysis
Other initiatives under this role prerogative also include HR & Resource Analytics.
