Role Overview
As a Product Manager, you will take charge of driving product innovation and managing the development efforts for two critical products within our software platform. Your expertise in experience-based innovation environments, combined with your ability to understand user personas, use cases, and journey maps, will help shape the best solutions for our users and buyers. With your strong business judgment and empathetic nature, you will facilitate the best outcomes and play a pivotal role in our dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
1.Product Strategy and Development: Collaborate closely with the technical product owner to align development work with product strategies and roadmap. Create and prioritize stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria, ensuring a well-maintained product backlog for seamless execution.
2.User Experience and Quality Testing: Oversee the internal user experience quality testing process, ensuring that developed features meet acceptance criteria. Provide valuable feedback to the product owner for critical projects, driving improvements that enhance user satisfaction.
3.Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with customer experience, customer insights, and customer success teams. Leverage personas, use cases, journey maps, and user feedback to inform and shape product decisions. Support customer service in addressing reported bugs or technical product issues.
4.Roadmap Planning and Reporting: Provide weekly product development status reports to the Director of Product, including proposed delivery timelines for new features and functionality. Act as a key stakeholder in weekly product and development team meetings, fostering a culture of experimentation and innovation.
5.Documentation and Collateral: Ensure the creation, updating, and sharing of technical and business product documentation across teams. Contribute to marketing, customer success, customer service, customer enablement, and sales enablement collateral, offering valuable product insights.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in a related field.
-3+ years of experience as a product manager in Software-as-a-Service, managing cross-functional team projects.
-Proven experience with user experience-based innovation approaches such as Design Thinking.
-Deep understanding of user personas, use cases, and journey maps.
-Experience working in a software development organization using Agile principles.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills.
-Strong facilitation skills.
-Experience writing software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
-Demonstrated ability to write and deliver reports for technical and non-technical senior leadership, influencing actions.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
-Experience working in veterinary medicine, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
-MBA or Master's Degree in related fields.
