Grocery Outlet of Sicklerville is a small business in South Jersey. We are locally owned and
operated and our goal is to provide a clean, fresh and unique experience while shopping.
Not only do we give our customers 40-70% off their grocery basket, but we aim to build a
family team member experience so everyday will be a great day while earning money for
you and your family.
Produce Lead:
The produce lead provides the best shopping experience for our customers by creating
and maintaining a "fresh and full" department. The produce lead is essential to providing
customers with an exceptional shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
Completing 4 produce orders per week
Breaking down and unloading 4 produce trucks per week
Regularly inspecting and culling produce for signs of spoilage, damage, or pest
infestations
Establish relationships with produce vendor
Inspect all incoming produce shipments for quality, freshness, and adherence to
safety standards
Accurately record and document all received produce, including quantities, and
dates
Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers regarding the quality or quantity
of delivered produce
Ensure proper storage conditions, including temperature, humidity, and ventilation
Rotate stock regularly to maintain the first-in, first-out (FIFO) principle, minimizing
waste and maximizing freshness
Create visually appealing and well-organized displays to attract and engage
customers
Implement strategies to minimize shrinkage and reduce waste, such as offering
discounts on slightly damaged product
Monitor sales data and customer feedback to identify popular produce items and
adjust display quantities accordingly
Adhere to all local, state, and federal food safety regulations, including proper
handling, storage, and label procedures
Requirements:
Able to lift up to 50lbs
Produce experience required
