Position Summary: The Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in the Procure to Pay (PTP) business processes for key stakeholders and external suppliers. This position is the primary point of contact for operationalizing key contracts, identifying and implementing cost savings opportunities, managing lower value requests for quotations, and leading process improvement opportunities. The Procurement Specialist maintains cost-effective procurement practices, i.e., supplier relationship management to reduce costs, optimizing available catalogs in the PTP technology, and supporting the Procure to Pay process improvements.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Analyze procurement data and metrics to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for process optimization Monitor KPI performance Seek solutions to the procure to pay process and buying needs Analyze trends and present innovative solutions on behalf of the requestor Perform procurement related internal processes and tasks Review and analyze contractual terms from Sourcing teams to operationalize in the PTP system via Ariba contracts Maintain the Ariba contract database with up-to-date information on contracts, commercial terms, pricing, and discounts Coordinate supplier request for quotations focused on reducing tail spend in which multiple suppliers provide related items or services Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive improved PTP process performance Monitor supplier performance, conduct quarterly business reviews, and address any contractual issues for assigned categories Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and monitor their performance to enhance collaboration and long-term value Assist requestors with the procurement process by enhancing end-to-end process knowledge Other projects or duties as assigned Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 plus years of experience in a high-volume transaction setting in Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Finance or HS Diploma with 4 plus years of experience in a high-volume transaction setting in Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Finance Strong analytical skills Strong execution skills Ability to independently research and identify root cause issues in order to take corrective steps to prevent reoccurrence Experience working in a fast-paced environment Strong prioritization skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with all levels of an organization Experience utilizing formulas, If Statements, Pivot Tables for analysis and to identify automation opportunities Proficiency in Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test Preferred Skills and Experience: 1 plus years of Procure to Pay system experience in Ariba with an emphasis in a high-volume Purchase Order/Account Payable processing environment Experience documenting process improvements 1 plus years of experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. 1 plus years of experience utilizing formulas, If Statements, Pivot Tables for analysis and to identify automation opportunities Experience in Sourcing Experience working in a distribution, logistics and/or manufacturing environment Experience with cloud-based ERP i.e., SAP software Understanding of Procure to Pay technology Physical Demands and Work Environment :
