Role Summary As a Packaging Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in sourcing, negotiating, and managing packaging and other raw materials for our client's textile manufacturing operations in North America. This position calls for a proactive and creative professional who can find cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality. Your contributions will be key to maintaining efficient production processes and fulfilling customer orders with excellence.
Key Responsibilities Collaborate with sales, account management, and production teams to identify material needs and ensure alignment with project requirements. Source and negotiate with suppliers for packaging and raw materials, balancing cost with quality. Review customer packaging guides to guarantee compliance and conduct fit testing for new packaging solutions. Manage inventory levels to maintain adequate supplies without excess. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and scout for new sourcing opportunities. Address and resolve supply shortages, quality issues, budget concerns, and invoice discrepancies proactively. Qualifications College degree preferred; high school diploma/GED from an accredited institution required. 3-5 years of relevant experience in production packaging and procurement, especially with materials required by major retailers. Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
