About The Role
The Process Improvement Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Global Supply Chain team. As the key facilitator, they spearhead both strategic and tactical initiatives aimed at refining processes, reducing costs, and boosting productivity. Their responsibilities encompass a wide range of projects, from those focused on specific sites to initiatives with a global scope. They are tasked with identifying areas for continuous improvement, developing and implementing innovative solutions, and ensuring that these solutions align with the broader objectives of the organization. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, the Process Improvement Manager ensures that projects are executed smoothly, meet their targets, and contribute significantly to the overall success of the supply chain operations. Their role is pivotal in driving operational excellence and sustaining competitive advantage in a dynamic global market.
What You Will Do
Lead global improvement efforts, aligning them with strategic goals, KPIs, and department objectives. Regularly evaluate new improvement measures to ensure effectiveness and avoid negative impacts. Drive initiatives to enhance performance, minimize waste, and reduce turnover. Set goals aligned with strategic business objectives and ensure widespread implementation. Maintain an audit system to verify ongoing effectiveness of improvement processes. Provide comprehensive training on new processes to ensure successful deployment. Monitor progress against targets, ensuring the PDCA cycle effectively addresses gaps. Facilitate the sharing of best practices across sites. Support policy implementation, including goal setting and progress tracking. Actively participate in detailed investigations to uncover root causes and unintended consequences. Lead process improvement teams and collaborate with various teams to develop initiatives. Present improvement initiatives and progress to management at all levels. Goals:
Near Range Goals:
Implement the changes needed to reduce Push/Pull messages to the suppliers. Identify root cause of the overall MRP wobble, investigate & implement changes then analyze feedback. Provide findings to all stakeholders and apply appropriate training on new tools. Review Glovia access & establish guardrails to reduce Item Master changes. Review Supply Chain SOP & compare to actual actions. Create plan to update needed SOP. Long Range Goals:
NPI & NPT implementation with regards to supply chain Work as part of the Global Continuous Improvement / Process Improvement team. Review, assist in development and review of the training process for new Expeditors, Buyers, Planners, and general training for Glovia in North America. Will lead the team to work with suppliers to establish or increase the usage of supplier agreements such as, but not limited to, Blanket Orders, VMI, EDI, In-plant stores, long term purchase agreements, and E-Kanban. Increase inter-departmental communication. Consolidate small spend suppliers for overall cost reduction where appropriate. Will lead the team to develop long term plans for a small, independent suppliers form a consortium whereby there would periodic meetings with the consortium that would allow them to potential do business with each other or share contacts in non-competing industries to help each other grow. What You Need
Bachelor's degree in technical focus area Cross functional business acumen Communication skills Presentation skills Glovia and Supply Chain experience Scheduling, planning & Resource Management High level of Data analysis & critical thinking skills Ability to influence others without authority. Team creative problem-solving Team leadership Must have experience in electronics manufacturing environment. Our good faith estimate of the salary range for this role is $91,360 to $132,330. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a comprehensive and highly competitive benefits package.
