Gpac has partnered with a great company to help fill a Process Engineer position. Summary Process Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support for our clients, in all facets of operation through direct contributions of project development from conception to start-up through to full project delivery. You will apply engineering principles to new and existing facilities with tasks ranging from process design to the evaluation and implementation of new technologies. 50% travel involved with site visits domestic and some international when needed.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize processes for maximum efficiency and productivity. Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of existing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions. Utilize engineering principles to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, ensuring smooth and continuous production. Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures and technical specifications. Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives, utilizing data-driven approaches to drive performance enhancements. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, incorporating new technologies and methodologies to enhance process capabilities. Support commissioning and start-up activities for new equipment and processes, ensuring seamless integration into existing operations. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and evaluate equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Training and mentoring other colleagues. Frequent travel required to client sites.
Requirements and skills: Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a plant as an engineer preferably in oilseed extraction Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for process optimization. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
