The Process Engineer is responsible for providing high-quality DNA microarrays, which are one of the core components of the consumable diagnostic platform being developed at Cepheid. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the development of improved processes and to work cross-functionally across different departments and projects
This position is part of the Biochip Operations unit located in Newark, CA and will be On-site.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Fabrication of high-precision DNA microarray components in a manufacturing facility cleanroom. Operation/maintenance/validation of sophisticated automation equipment. Support process development and transfer of documentation, and procedures for manufacturing. Where necessary, troubleshoot, problem-solve and improve processes. Follow established procedures and methods to ensure consistency and reduce variance. The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or Physical Science Three (3) or more years of process engineering experience Experience in a relevant automation or manufacturing environment It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Experience with DNA microarray fabrication and/or non-contact printing Experience with semiconductor processes Experience with working in regulated environments Affinity towards instrumentation, automation, robotics, and prototype equipment Cepheid, a Danaher company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. The salary range for this role is $126,000-$157,000. This is the range that we, in good faith, believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
