Primary responsibilities will involve operating dye sub printers, keeping up with machine maintenance, and ensuring the timely and accurate production of customer orders. You will work closely with our production for your primary responsibilities. You will also work closely with our purchasing agent regarding inventory of supplies and substrates required for dye sub printing. Loading and unloading large rolls of fabric is a regular activity.Job DescriptionOperates dye sublimation printers according to manufacturer and company standards, fulfilling orders in a timely fashionVerifies customer proofs, due dates, and product specs via computer systemChecks for color accuracy and spot color match when neededInteracts with file library, loading files from server for rippingMinimizes media wastePerforms regular maintenance to maximize machinery and to achieve the highest print quality possibleContinues training and learning through direct teaching from the production manager, online courses, and other industry resourcesMaintains clean and organized print area, meeting company standards agreed upon by the production managerAlerts production manager when the printer goes down and when troubleshooting is neededContributes to advancing manufacturing techniques throughout the production processStays up to date with knowledge of substrates for various applicationsStays current on rip processes, including color management, color testing, nesting, and other details to achieve efficienciesLoads rolls of unprinted media, carries printed media to finishing roomPays close attention to deadlines, print times, and priorities to ensure orders are moving through production system efficientlyOrganizes workspaces and is responsible for the safe storage and transport of all toolsCommunicates inventory and raw material needs with purchasing agent for timely completion of ordersAdditional essential job functions include the following:Maintain regular and punctual attendance.Work overtime as assigned.Work cooperatively with others.Some driving during the workday to pick up materials.Work in printing and warehouse environment.Comply with all company policies and procedures.
