Job Details:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Designs and analyzes passive RF and mmWave components using circuit and 3D EM simulators.
Leads technical teams to execute on customer defined development projects and/or internal product development projects.
Prepare design and operation objectives, specifications and resource needs for proposals and project execution.
Prepares design specifications, analyses, and recommendations.
Manages hours and schedule for engineering tasks.
Interfaces with customers to define/verify performance requirements, present design solutions and updates on design progress.
Conducts in-house design reviews (PDR, CDR) and technical meetings.
Performs engineering research of design concepts and feasibility utilizing advanced technical theory and knowledge. Performs trade studies and provides engineering reports.
Collaborates with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, layout, manufacturing, test, process, etc.) to ensure that design solutions meet form factor, performance, producibility and testability requirements.
Provides technical direction and guidance to Design Engineers, Technicians, or Design Support personnel assigned to work on a common project.
Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
Actively supports design process improvement initiatives to reduce time/cost to market.
Keeps informed on improvements in electrical engineering design techniques.
Mentors engineers on design techniques and internal procedures and processes
Minimum Job Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering or science discipline plus a minimum of eight (8) years experience or related Master of Science degree with a minimum of six (6) years experience.
Experience in leading a multi-disciplined group in product development.
Experience in the design of RF components such as distributed microwave/mmWave filters and multiplexers, couplers, baluns and SMT transitions and wirebond transitions operating to 110GHz.
Extensive experience with 3D EM simulators such as HFSS, CST or similar tools
Experience with circuit simulators such AWR Microwave Office, Genesys, or similar tools.
Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: multichip modules (MCM), switched filter banks, miniaturized Front End Modules, frequency synthesizer, frequency converters and antennas.
Familiarity with Altium Designer is a plus.
Experience with high frequency PCB design is a plus.
Ability to use typical office automation products such as word processors and spreadsheets.
Knowledge of customer needs and competing products.
Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines.
Strong leadership and control of the work process from beginning to end is necessary.
Effective written and oral communication skills.
May be required to travel domestically.
