Responsibilities
• Design and develop new interconnect products for high-speed cable and connector industry• Interface with cross-functional teams and present concepts and requirements internally and to customers• Perform design verification activities and predictive analytics• Travel to manufacturing sites and collaborate with global team• Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced team members• Work with marketing and external customers on new project opportunities• Provide application and technical support for product concepts• Drive IP submissions with the legal team
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering• 12+ years' experience in electro-mechanical product design and development• Deep knowledge of design validation testing and tolerance analysis• Experience with parametric 3D CAD systems• Strong understanding of signal integrity properties• Familiarity with working on PCBA's and reflow SMT technology• Practical knowledge of Six Sigma quality development tools and principles• Experience with tear downs and failure analysis tools• Ability to set development timelines and tasks for deliverables
Key Skills Needed
• High-speed, high-density connectors and cable assemblies• Knowledge of regulatory agency testing requirements• Experience with electroplating and automated assembly• Strong decision-making capabilities• Master Black Belt in product design and development• White papers on industry-leading technology
