Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life forall.Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.As a Global AMHS (Automated Material Handling System) Principal Design Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be part of Micron's FE Automation Team and will be responsible for design and implementation of Micron's next generation AMHS systems for Micron's global network of manufacturing sites. Your objective is to design and implement factory automation systems that test known boundaries and achieve world-class performance. Projects will include green field systems as well as existing system upgrades and modifications of varying scale.Role and Responsibility• Lead designing OHT (Over Head Transport) layout using AutoCAD• Manage and Collaborate with automation vendors to enhance designs and secure required lead times• Engage with the Global AMHS Simulation team to test and validate OHT designs• Actively participate in design reviews with Micron's Construction, Facilities, and Equipment Layout teams to ensure the proper AMHS design and requirements are captured for construction.• Provide capital budget forecasts• Serve as a regional first point of contact for Global AMHS Operation and Design teams• Present to large groups including executive level leadership• Perform data collection and analysis to define design criteria, validate designs, identify system behavior that can be adjusted to improve system performance.• Manage a SharePoint portal and maintain a design document repository• This position will require both domestic and international travelMinimum Requirements:BS degree in related field or equivalent professional experienceProficient in English both verbal and writtenFamiliarity with Autodesk AutoCAD(2D/3D)Semiconductor Automation experience over 3 years or equivalent experienceManagement experience of large scale project.Desired SkillsExperience with Autodesk RevitExpert level proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD (2D/3D) and BIM360/ACCThe US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:$113,000.00 - $203,000.00Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
