Responsibilities: The Primary Therapist conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, facilitates individual, family, and group therapies, and provides clinical support to the program as needed.
Essential Duties: Communicate, proactively, as the clinical point of contact with families. Facilitate individual, family, and group therapies within the framework of Newport Healthcare's clinical model and Attachment-Based Family Therapy. Facilitate new Family Orientations, Welcome Presentations, and Family Support Groups. Complete risk assessment and initial safety plan upon admission and biopsychosocial assessment and treatment plan within timeline requirements. Coordinate treatment goals and services in collaboration with client's treatment team, with 30-day treatment plan reviews and updates. Complete documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress, group notes, contact notes and discharge summaries) timely and according to established standards. Conduct risk or crisis assessments and provides intervention/management as needed. Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision. Enter and save data accurately within Word, Outlook (email and calendaring), EMR, and online learning. Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences representing Newport Healthcare as needed. Qualifications: Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required. Licensed or ability to transfer license in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or Clinical Psychologist in the state in which services are provided Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with young adults/adolescents Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders, or trauma-informed treatment preferred.
