POSITION OVERVIEW: The operator is responsible for ensuring quality standards are being met while always upholding safety principles and guidelines. Operators may be cross trained, and move from one machine, area, or department to meet customer needs and demands.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Operators must understand and follow all safety rules and guidelines to operate their assigned machines to produce finished product in a final assembly. Operators need to read and understand blueprints and work instructions. Operators will utilize hand tools, power tools and other specialized equipment within their department. Operators will be trained to accurately read and utilized measuring devices such as measuring tape, calipers and pi tape. Operators will clean and inspect their completed parts before sending to other areas within the shop floor. Operators must keep their work areas clean and follow 5S standards ( Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain). Operators will complete other jobs as assigned.
DEPARTMENT AREAS: Presses, CNC turret press and brake press, laser cutting equipment, shears, assembly, resistance and fusion welding, auto welder, tube bending equipment, assembly and end finishing equipment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: The ideal candidate for the operator is to have 1 year of manufacturing or production experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate!
SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The operator must have a positive attitude and act professionally and be comfortable working in a group and individual setting They must be able to handle multiple project simultaneously and be able to meet deadlines. The operator must be able to problem solve and resolve issues. The operator must possess the ability to lift, push and pull 25 pounds and have the ability to frequently twist and bend and stand and walk up to 10 hours.
