Summary
We are looking for energetic candidates that love teaching and spending time with children. We are currently accepting applications for two preschool teacher positions.
Full time - 8:30-5:30 or Part time - 12:00-5:30 Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, and be able to respond to children's needs, including reaching high, stooping to the child's level, and sitting on the floor, and getting up. Must have a professional attitude and enjoy working with children! Must follow DSS regulations and maintain DSS regulated ratios at all times. Duties
1. Ensure the safety of each child enrolled in the class whether in the classroom, on the playground, or in common areas.
2. Maintain regular observation and evaluation of children?s development and progress as directed by administration.
3. Complete weekly lesson plans and maintain the cleanliness of the learning environment of the classroom.
4. Plan and implement age and developmentally appropriate classroom practices that will include the areas of physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs of the young children.
5. Interact with each child on a daily basis through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play, etc. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Education in Early Education preferred. Must pass an SCDSS Central Registry as well as background all other requirements of SCDSS. Must pass a drug screen. Benefits
