You get a day off!)• A SUPER FUN JOB!• SO MUCH MORE!Responsibilities:• Provide the basic needs for children• Provide the tools and resources for children to use and explore during learning and play activities• Adapt the teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of children• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents• Manage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks, and mealsQualifications:• A Minimum requirement of a High School diploma, although a BA degree is preferred• Previous work experience of at least 6 months in a licensed childcare facility• Willingness to obtain CPR and 1st Aid certification (if not already attained)• Must complete 15 hours of continuing education classes per year• Ability to work well with others• Passion for teaching• Ready to have fun and make a positive impactDesired Skills and Experience:• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain• Active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or willingness to obtain• Completion of 15 core ECE Units Infant/toddler or willingness to obtain• Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds and working indoors or outdoors• Ability to assume postures at low levels to ensure physical and visual contact with children• Excellent vision and hearing to ensure children's safety• Proficient in reading, writing, understanding, and speaking English• Compliance with state-specific guidelines for the roleAbout Company: Cathedral Preschool partners with families to provide a quality academic, Biblically-based education to equip both parents and students to impact their culture for Christ.Cathedral Preschool's educational process and commitment, both in and out of the classroom, is directed to the development of Christian students to enable them to interpret the different aspects of their educational experience into Christian living.
