Overview Archer Western is currently seeking a Preconstruction Manager in Phoenix to join our Southwest Water Group.
The Preconstruction Manager will report to the Business Group Leader and work with the Chief Estimators and Preconstruction Directors/Lead Estimators. The Preconstruction Manager will support and work with management, operations and estimating staff in the review of project plans, requirements and specifications.

Responsibilities Review project documents, including contracts, plans, and specifications.
Develop execution plan and establish deliverables for the team during preconstruction
Assist with executing subcontract agreements
Review accurate quantity takeoffs, material, labor, and subcontract pricing
Coordinate constructability and value engineering reviews
Understand project logistics and project schedule.
Prepare bid packages. Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids.
Coordinate site investigation activities with field staff
Prepare deliverable summaries and present information to owners
Assist business development team as needed during project pursuit phase
Manage financials for assigned projects
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Qualifications A proven leader with 5+ years of project management experience working for a contractor, design consultant or owner in the water industry
A person that can motivate others to complete delegated work on time and with high quality. Can hold others accountable in a positive way.
Well organized, flexible, detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
Advanced computers skills with MS Office. Some experience with estimating and/or scheduling software is ideal
Comfortable summarizing and presenting information to owners
