Pre-Press Operator

Job summary
The Pre-Press Operator is responsible for the manufacturing, set-up, and positioning of printing plates.They are also responsible for inspecting and identifying defects in various materials.The role requires following safety procedures, attending training, and maintaining a clean work area.

Responsibilities
• Follow safe operating procedures and comply with safety rules• Inspect and identify defects in various materials• Maintain a neat and orderly work area• Perform tasks within quality and timeliness standards• Demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and color perception• Understand and use personal protective equipment• Handle solvents and materials properly• Demonstrate ability to locate and obtain equipment and supplies• Perform all Pre-press Operator duties and responsibilities• Inspect and identify defects in printing plates
Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED• Six months to one year of related industrial experience• Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and read a ruler• Ability to calculate figures associated with the plate making/mounting process• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 100 lbs
