Job DescriptionThe Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech seeks a dedicated and experienced Pre-Award Specialist and Training Grant Coordinator to join our Office of Research and Graduate Studies. This position will play a critical role in supporting the college's research initiatives by managing pre-award activities for grant proposals and serving as a coordinator for the college's NIH-funded training grant programs and other awarded fellowships. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in grant administration, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external funding agencies.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a relevant field. Advanced degree preferred. At least three years of experience in grant administration, with a strong preference for experience in pre-award management. Familiarity with NIH policies and procedures, as well as experience coordinating training grants and fellowships.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
