Job Posting—Lead Kinder-Prep/Preschool Teacher
Prairie Early Childhood Center (PECC) is an August – May Center, providing high-quality PDO, Preschool and Kinder-Prep classes for children ages 16 months- 5 years. Our vision is to provide a nurturing, safe, and accepting environment that builds confidence and fosters a love of learning.
PECC is seeking a Lead Kinder-Prep/Preschool Teacher to teach 4 year old Kinder-Prep students (M/W/F) and 3-year-old Preschool students (T/Th). The lead teacher will collaborate with other Kinder-Prep/Preschool teachers to develop and implement the daily curriculum. Our center-unique curriculum is child-focused, based on early learning standards and our knowledge of child development. This lead teacher will work independently to manage their classroom, guide students, engage with parents, and support the mission and vision of PECC.
This position is Monday – Friday, 8:45 am – 2:45 pm. (Classroom hours are 9 am – 2:30 pm). Staff benefits include paid training, paid holidays, paid snow days and childcare discount. Hourly wage starts at $16.00.
Required Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or a CDA Certification. At least 1-year experience working with young children—paid or volunteer.
Preferred Qualifications: Degree or CDA in Early Childhood Education and experience teaching Preschool in a quality center/school.If interested submit resume to:
