Job Description:

Airgas is seeking a dynamic and motivated Public Relations Associate to join our team in Austin, Texas. As a PR Associate, you will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives to enhance the company's reputation and brand awareness. This is an entry-level position, perfect for someone looking to kickstart their career in PR.

Responsibilities:- Assist in the creation of press releases, media pitches, and other communication materials- Manage media inquiries and coordinate interviews with company spokespeople- Monitor and report on media coverage of the company and industry trends- Assist in organizing and executing events, press conferences, and other PR activities- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging across all channels- Support social media strategies and content creation- Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activity- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including media contacts and industry influencers- Provide administrative support to the PR team as needed

Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field- Strong writing and editing skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Resilient and independent personality traits- People management and project management skills- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms- Knowledge of PR best practices and industry trends is a plus- Previous internship or relevant experience is preferred but not required
