REQUISITION SUMMARY PACCAR's Global Powertrain department is focused on new technologies such as battery electric, hydrogen fuel cell electric, and advanced vehicle concepts that eliminate harmful emissions in the heavy and medium duty transportation industries. The PACCAR Global Powertrain department is developing new electrified components to support applications in the global product offerings under the Kenworth, Peterbilt, DAF, and Leyland brands. This role will collaborate closely with engineering and test departments to develop a comprehensive risk mitigation plan and ensure it is executed in alignment with the program schedule to support market introduction plans. The outgoing personality in this role will gather and communicate validation information, coordinate activities across global test facilities and maintain alignment with multiple vehicle integration programs. This role will also be responsible for reporting progress, participating in problem-solving, and adapting the validation plan to maintain the project schedule and budget.
This position will reside in either Mt. Vernon or Kirkland, WA.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES  Collaborate with engineering, safety and compliance, and testing departments to develop and maintain an accurate DVP&R that mitigates risk and supports powertrain and vehicle program timelines across all truck divisions. Assist in developing test protocols for global test departments. Support program management with validation budget details, including test equipment. Assure that comprehensive test plans are developed and aligned with powertrain and vehicle programs. Assist in metric creation and provide written and verbal updates to communicate project updates, risks/gaps of powertrain program timelines and identify opportunities for improvement. Perform Supplier visits and evaluate/establish test protocols and DVP&R Up to 30% travel (domestic and international)  QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Bachelor's Degree in engineering required or related technical field required. 5 years of product development or related experience is required. Prior experience with risk mitigation methods such as DFMEA and DVP&R. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven ability to deliver technical presentations and written reports to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to work with a team to achieve timely objectives. Resourceful with a problem-solving approach and demonstrated passion to deliver top-quality results. Prior experience managing data using Excel or similar tools. We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range for a  Powertrain Validation Engineer  is $96,700-$151,300 annually. This position is also eligible for a holiday gift. Additionally, this role is eligible for the full range of benefit options listed above.
