Position Overview A full-time Postdoctoral position is available on an annual 12- month appointment in the Hamazaki lab in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington (). The Postdoctoral Scholar will be engaging in studies on build-up biology, including establishing the versatile platform to reconstitute any of desired cell types, or completely new synthetic cell types, or understanding human embryonic development with pluripotent stem cells. Postdoctoral scholars are represented by UAW 4121 and are subject to the collective bargaining agreement, unless agreed exclusion criteria apply. The successful candidate will work closely with the PI and a small team in a highly collaborative environment across departments. They will plan and perform experiments, write manuscripts, and participate in and present research findings at local and national meetings. Some administrative tasks such coordinating sample transport and ordering supplies will be expected. The candidate must self-motivated, show initiative, and be willing to independently acquire new skills. Excellent attention to detail, good organization, and communication skills are essential to success. The anticipated start date is Summer 2023. Qualifications Ph.D. and/or M.D. or foreign equivalent required. Must have a strong background in Mammalian development, Stem cell engineering, Molecular Biology, Genome science, Genetics, Computer science Reproductive biology, or a closely related field. Desired skills/experiences include any of single cell assay (any modalities), bioinformatic analysis, stem cell culture, writing manuscripts and grant or fellowship applications.
