Pay Rate Information


This is a temporary to permanent hire Service Contract Act position with an hourly pay rate of $28.10 that includes a Health and Welfare Benefit of $4.57 an hour.


Service Contract Act, or SCA, position pay rates are determined by the U.S. Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division.

Upon completion of six (6) months of employment, the selected candidate can expect an annual salary as a permanent full-time employee with the federal contractor.





Period of Performance:

Position contract base period: June 1, 2024 (or Date of Hire) through May 31, 2024
- start date confirmed after completion and favorable recommendation of federal Public Trust Suitability Determination i.e. Standard Form-85P Questionnaire


- with the potential for annual extensions through May 31, 2027
- preference for placement/transfer as federal contract employee after six (6) months employment with C&C International


Work Hours of Operation: , Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week, two (2) 15-minute breaks and 30-minute lunch, except for federal holidays, unless otherwise stated

Senior Paralegal, Middle District of Louisiana U.S. Attorneys' Office, Baton Rouge, LA 70801 Basic Qualifications: Requires Paralegal certificate, or Juris Doctorate, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year (1L) of study or an equivalent level of legal training or experience; or an equivalent level of education may be substituted Minimum two (2) years of litigation paralegal experience or project experience (as related to the task order) required At least one (1) year of experience in automated litigation support Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as Lexis Nexis and Westlaw Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems Requires hands-on familiarity with Electronically Stored Information, ESI, tools and knowledge of e-Discovery procedures and resources Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important Preferred Qualifications: Senior Paralegal, Middle District of Louisiana U.S. Attorneys' Office, Baton Rouge, LA 70801 Responsibilities/Duties: Works with Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs), federal law enforcement officers, client agencies and support staff to prepare cases for litigation Obtains records, documents, and evidence from federal law enforcement agencies, client agencies, and via the legal process Reviews and analyzes case material to become familiar with the facts and circumstances of the case Examines, prepares and processes a variety of legal documents which are characteristically voluminous and moderately complex in nature Maintains, manages, and organizes case material utilizing software, including databases, spreadsheets and word processing applications Notes deficiencies in the uploading of case materials and missing materials and undertakes inquiries to correct deficiencies Works with litigation support to resolve any issues related to the intake, processing, and dissemination of discovery Assists AUSAs in producing discovery to opposing counsel Organizes and coordinates discovery distribution, including indexes and production logs Operates electronic systems and court presentation software during court proceedings Provides assistance to AUSAs in trial preparation by independently compiling trial notebooks, preparing jury instructions, and drafting witness and exhibit lists
