Description:
We're in search of an adept and self-motivated individual to join us as a Portfolio Director. In this pivotal role, you'll lead a team of 2-3 Account Managers, overseeing a portfolio of 400-600 residential units. Your primary objective will be to drive team performance and expand your portfolio under management.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of 2-3 Account Managers and the operations of 400-600 residential units.
- Foster positive relationships with your team and portfolio to drive growth and enhance retention rates.
- Actively pursue new business opportunities to expand your portfolio and increase revenue.
- Collaborate with Account Managers to develop and implement strategies for achieving revenue and operational objectives.
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants and property owners, and intervene in critical situations as necessary.
- Conduct daily analysis of reports and key variables to proactively manage portfolios and mitigate issues.
- Obtain active PM license in DC and Sales Licenses in DC, VA, and MD with company support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in property management, sales, or account management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multifamily property portfolios and drive revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- A collaborative and motivating team player with a kind demeanor.
- Highly analytical and well-organized.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Experience with real estate investments and/or financial analysis is advantageous.
- Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new software programs.
Compensation:
- Base salary of $50,000 per year plus revenue share.
- Initial revenue share of 4.5% in year one on all portfolio revenue generated by Account Managers under management, with staged annual increases (projected $50,000-$75,000 revenue share in YR1).
- Opportunity for annual salary increases of 20-30% based on performance, portfolio growth, and revenue share.
