As a Portable Ultrasound Tech, you will provide quality ultrasound services to patients typically receiving home-based or instructional care. This is a full-time, individual contributor role with a competitive salary of $48 to $52 per hour, paid weekly. This is a great opportunity for those wanting to grow professionally in the dynamic world of portable imaging and who have a desire to make a difference in the community.Benefits:Company-paid, comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision401k plan with Employer Matching up to 4.5% annuallyPaid Time OffCommuting SupportFlexible ShiftsCompany provided vehicle and fuel cardResponsibilities:Explain the ultrasound procedure to patients so they feel comfortable with the experience.Keep all ultrasound equipment clean and in excellent working order.Perform ultrasound exams in home-based care environments.Refrain from commenting on ultrasound results with patients.Conduct ultrasound exams promptly as indicated on the schedule.Immediately notify the physician of any abnormalities or concerns.Chart ultrasound results when required.Work closely with dispatch personnel on schedules and schedule changes.Communicate ultrasound results to the physician or radiology groupRequirements:Two or more years of experience as an ultrasound technician in all modalities.Able to perform Echocardiogram studies is a plus.A sonography certificate is required.At a minimum an associate degree in diagnostic medical sonography.Bachelor's Degree in Sonography is preferred but not required.An understanding of human anatomy and functionsHolds, or can hold, credentials in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho.BLS Certification (Preferred)Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environmentStrong attention to detail and commitment to patient safetyValid driver's licenseSkills:Concisely answer questions about the ultrasound procedure to be conducted.Perform ordered ultrasound and capture images while limiting discomfort and inconvenience for the patient.Collaboration with primary physicians, radiologists, and family members to determine proper plans for care. .Evaluate images and interpret their meaning.Accurately present the images and diagnosis to healthcare professionals.Add clean and accurate notes pertaining to the ultrasound results.Can Calibrate, maintain, and contain all ultrasound equipment.About our client:Our client is backed by a mission to enhance the life of every person they serve.
