Job functions include the following:
-You will defend installation personnel, equipment, and resources from terrorist threats or hostile attacks.
-You will detect and respond to threats to restricted areas, and detains, apprehends, applies restraints and transports violators as required.
-You will conduct vehicle searches, inspect packages and personal belongings when admitting personnel into controlled or restricted areas or during increased FPCONs or a specific security incident
-You will conduct investigations that are below the current Defense Criminal Investigative Organization or dedicated Investigator/Detective threshold.
-You will conduct traffic management as required.
Requirements Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. You must meet the qualifications and be certified to carry a firearm. You will need to maintain firearm proficiency. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition. This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision. Must meet applicable federal and/or state minimum age requirements for the assigned installation. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing. You will be required to obtain and maintain a current CPR certification.
