Police Desk Attendant Starting at $25.50 - $29.50 per hour
Based on qualifications The mission of the Troy Police Department is to enhance the quality of life in our community by providing for the protection of life and property and maintain the peace through fair and equitable Police service. We strive to accomplish the Department's mission by forming partnerships with residents, businesses, community groups, governmental agencies, and private organizations. Together we will continue to make Troy a thriving and safe place for all who live, work and visit our fine City .
DUTIES Greet and direct visitors to appropriate Police Department or City offices. Respond to requests and provide law enforcement information. Prepare complete, legible, and concise incident and administrative reports. Answer telephones and respond to requests for information. Compile and maintain records and files. REQUIREMENTS High school graduate (or GED equivalent). Prior law enforcement experience. Knowledge of local ordinances, state and federal laws. Prior knowledge of police incident reports. Prior knowledge of Michigan's UD-10 crash reporting forms. Prior knowledge of the LEIN/NCIC system. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Applicants must meet LEIN (Law Enforcement Information Network) security standards. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen (including marijuana).and full background investigation. PREFERENCES Knowledge of Oakland County CLEMIS system. HOURS :
Flexible schedule. Part-time, year-round.
