Supervise servers/bartenders on the floor, make sure food is presented neatly, served on time and that all functions are coordinated properly.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for controlling all aspects in the execution of banquet functions. Read and understand BEOs Effectively supervise and coordinating the Banquet staff during all food and beverage service. Effectively communicate with Culinary staff and other management staff to ensure success of all functions. Responsible for adhering to property/company policies and procedures. Responsible for adhering to all liquor liability laws. Responsible for all accurate billing, to include Micros and Delphi postings and all liquor consumption reports Must assist/conduct all designated staff/pre-function meetings. Computer Skills, (Outlook, Delphi, Excel) Attend all property/department meetings Assist the Banquet Manager in the complete operation of the Banquet Department. HOTEL SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To know all general information about the property and be able to accurately answer all guests questions. To know layout of the property and all meeting room names and locations. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT: Computer, coffee maker/urn, toaster, , beverage machines, bus trays, dishware, silverware, glassware, queen-mary cart, telephone, pen/pencil, Micros WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Interior/Exterior of hotel, in the restaurant, lounge and kitchen areas, with exposure to extreme temperatures. Exposure to Food and Beverage hazardous cleaning chemicals. Exposure to food items and beverages . High school diploma or equivalent. Three years food and beverage experience. Excellent customer service skills. Pleasant and helpful personality.
