Position Summary Plan, direct, or coordinate activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of plumbing structures and systems. Participate in the conceptual development of a job project and oversee its organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation. Supervise and delegate plumbing technicians and helpers, which includes assisting in hiring and disciplining of employees, scheduling employees, setting work priorities, conducting technician meetings, counseling and training technicians, completing time sheets, evaluating performance and supervising work assignments to ensure effective operations.
Essential Functions Statements Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, technicians, or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, or job site problems. Plan, schedule, or coordinate plumbing project activities to meet deadlines. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports. Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, or other regulations. Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with environmental regulations. Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the installation or maintenance of plumbing structures, facilities, or systems. Study job specifications to determine appropriate methods of action. Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at job sites to ensure that proper procedures are being followed. Prepare contracts or negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors. Develop or implement quality control programs. Implement new or modified plans in response to delays, bad weather, or job site emergencies. Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients. Perform or contract others to perform prebuilding assessments, such as conceptual cost estimating, rough order of magnitude estimating, feasibility, or energy efficiency, environmental, and sustainability assessments. Apply for and obtain all necessary permits or licenses. Evaluate installation and/or repair methods and determine cost-effectiveness of plans, using computer models. Contract or oversee plumbing technician and plumber helper work. Direct and supervise job projects or related workers. Determine labor requirements for dispatching workers to job sites. Requisition supplies or materials to complete job projects. Develop and/or revise methods to reach monthly, quarterly, yearly departmental quotas. Review payroll records/time sheets to ensure that technicians are paid properly. Observes and enforces all safety and Company rules and regulations in the performance of duties. Coach and motivate technicians to work at their maximum productivity; coach, train and develop technicians to increase work and sales skills. Other duties as assigned. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
