Description: This recruitment will be used to fill one full-time Plumber position for University Housing and Dining Services at Oregon State University ( OSU ).

The focus of the Residential Maintenance and Facilities unit is quality, efficiency, and customer service oriented Operational Maintenance, Repair, and Construction.
The purpose of this position is to provide quality, courteous, and timely facilities maintenance services to all internal and external customers; coordinate, and provide an effective predictive & preventive maintenance program; to provide skilled installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, equipment and fixtures in accordance with established codes and standards; provide for quality control and review all work; to provide after hour emergency response; to estimate time, material, and resource needs; to coordinate work with associated areas and provide other support as necessitated by mission requirements; and to provide safe, secure, and sanitary living & dining facilities for students living in University owned facilities.

Minimum Qualifications (Staff) / Guidelines (Faculty): A valid Oregon Plumber's license; AND One of the following: One year of experience as a journey-level plumber; or Completion of an approved apprenticeship program.
Requirements : This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030. Type: This position is deemed essential and the incumbent is expected to contact his/her supervisor (or Person In Charge) by phone during inclement weather, emergency and other University work curtailments or closures to determine if she/he must report to work.
Employee must carry a pager and radio while on the job and during stand-by-hours.
