Responsibilities
• Coordinate and lead daily discussions with department managers to ensure production schedule is respected• Collaborate with internal business units to support each other's needs• Support overall sales growth by providing stability and flexibility to meet customer demands• Develop and manage plant's overall and capital projects budget• Support continuous improvement and lead by example• Oversee purchasing of raw materials and ensure quality expectations are met by suppliers• Ensure well-maintained plant and actively participate in capital projects and process improvements• Establish KPIs in all relevant areas and initiate timely corrective actions• Ensure timely investigations of customer requests and complaints• Assist department managers and employees in problem-solving• Maintain facility EHS and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards• Provide leadership in human resources management and succession planning• Foster good employee relations and engagement through effective communications• Lead external communications with relevant authorities and sister plants• Ensure plant personnel understand and comply with safety and quality systems• Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Operations Management• Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing operational management• Experience within the food, ingredient, or brewing industries preferred• Demonstrated ability to lead and continuously improve• Ability to analyze data and draw actionable conclusions• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software management technologies• Knowledge of Industrial fermentation and enzyme production is an asset
