Responsibilities
• Respond to non-clinical pharmacy issues• Complete formulary operational processes• Prepare reconsideration requests for review• Communicate information to providers and members• Obtain and organize drug utilization data• Assist with auditing and investigations• Investigate and organize workflow for claims• Support wellness and disease state management programs• Contribute to quality initiatives• Perform pharmaceutical pricing calculations
Requirements
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems• Knowledge of pharmaceutical products• Knowledge of general office practices• Demonstrated knowledge of grammar and business techniques• Ability to interact effectively with healthcare professionals• Demonstrated maturity, tact, diplomacy, and persuasiveness• Ability to type 30 words per minute• Ability to operate standard business machines• Basic computer program skills• Ability to organize and prioritize workflow• Experience with health insurance and/or prescription benefits preferred
