Today, over 18,000 patients—residents and visitors alike—see our health care teams for both outpatient and inpatient services.SUMMARY:Supervises and/or assists in the preparation of medication for administration at EPH, including the maintenance of records to ensure they are provided in a manner to promote patient safety and adequate control and accountability of all drugs, in accordance with the policies and procedures and protocols of EPH and appropriate to meet the standards of the accrediting organization and all State law, rules and regulations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Utilizes EPIC Pharmacy system accurately and safely, assisting staff and remote pharmaciesParticipates in the development and maintenance of EPH's formulary to meet the needs of EPH patientsParticipates in meetings as assigned by the Director of PharmacyProvides administration coverage for Director in his/her absenceMaintains confidentiality of patient/medical staff informationCommunicates new product information to the medical staff, nursing staff and other personnel as may be requiredMaintains that the quality and appropriateness of pharmaceutical services are monitored and evaluated in accordance with the standards of the JCAHO and federal and state laws and regulationsParticipates in the initial orientation and subsequent in-service education, including the provision of appropriate incompatibility information of all personnel involved in the preparation or administration of medicationsProvides drug monitoring services in keeping with the needs of EPHPerforms or otherwise initiates any other program or service necessary for the service, safety, education or professional provision for the pharmaceutical care of EPH's patients and staffAssist in maintenance of Pyxis systemMix IVs and chemotherapies per regulations and P&P'sAssists in tracking and investigating incidents and ADEs to review system and process improvementPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor of Science in pharmacy or doctor of pharmacy degree from an accredited School of PharmacyPrevious experience in hospital pharmacy or home InfusionLicense in good standing to practice Pharmacy in the State of ColoradoPAY RANGE:$56.00-$76.16, depending on experience.BENEFITS:We offer a full range of benefits to fit your needs and family for full time and part time employees!All employees are enrolled in a Money Purchase Pension Plan 401(a) which replaces Social Security contributions.
