Assists with cleaning of pre/post op rooms, operating rooms, and endoscopy suites according to departmental policies. Monitors temperatures and humidities for department and documents in log . Transports patients to and from various areas within the department and out of the department as necessary. Transports specimens to the lab using appropriate PPE. Transports patients and belongings as needed. Accurately verify and transport the patient. Assisting patient to vehicle upon discharge. Communicates with other departments to order supplies needed for department. Demonstrates knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections, reporting potential or actual concerns immediately. Responsible for turning over rooms, filling rooms with linen and supplies, emptying dirty linen from rooms, emptying trash, and aiding in supply of PARs for the department. Stocks the department of supplies. Completes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning/dusting tasks for department as assigned. Assists staff in putting away supplies and pulling supplies for procedures. Checking and replacing portable oxygen tanks on the patient carts. HS Diploma or GED Ability to read, write and understand English Must be able to communicate effectively and display a positive attitude towards coworkers, staff, visitors and patients.
