Description
To operate the heart-lung machine as a member of the open heart surgery team. To operate extracorporeal circulation and autotransfusion equipment during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or temporarily replace the patient's circulatory or respiratory function.
Pay Range: $63.85 - $103.75 / Hour
Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Perfusion education program required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Credentialed as certified in Clinical Perfusion by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion within two (2) years of hire date to classification required. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required or should be obtained within 30 days of employment. Depending on the unit/department, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
