Job Title: Manager, People Operations Job Status: Full-time Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Manager of People Operations is responsible for cultivating ACCESS' employer brand as a great place to work, and leading initiatives to improve employee performance and experience. The employee tracks ACCESS' people metrics and using that data proactively to help ACCESS staff be productive and engaged at all points of the employee lifecycle. The employee works with interdepartmental teams to develop strategies that promote better employee recruitment, engagement, performance, efficiency, development, retention, and customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Together with the ACCESS leadership team, responsible for the development and execution of organization's excellent talent strategies encompassing employee recruitment, engagement, performance, efficiency, development, retention, and customer strategiesCreate a sustainable employer brand as a great place to work from the inside out in order to attract, hire, and retain top talentWork with ACCESS leadership team to create a high-performance culture, including developing staff productivity and performance benchmarksCollect and measure relevant people metrics, including productivity and performance, time to hire, engagement, satisfaction and develop action plans accordinglyDevelop internal advisory committee to help inform initiatives to improve and maintain ACCESS' organizational culture and ways to make ACCESS a great place to workDesign and implement employee development initiatives including training, mentorship, and career planning programsSupport ACCESS-wide continuous improvement processes, including facilitating Quality Improvement Steering CommitteeSupport organizational capacity building and evaluation and learning efforts through a human resources lensSupport leadership in developing organizational structuresEnsure that HR practices are established and function with an equity and inclusion lens while serving business prioritiesAdminister ACCESS performance management system including 60-day reviews, annual appraisals, and other performance initiativesCoach and support supervisors on handling employee performance issuesSupport Director of Human Resources on employee relations and performance issues and progressive disciplineConduct stay and exit interviews with employees to understand employee experience and address any issuesModernize and improve efficiency and effectiveness of HR systemsThink strategically, recommending new approaches, policies, procedures and initiatives for the HR department to support the mission of the organizationSupport the planning and execution of ACCESS eventsMaintain compliance with various annual government reporting requirementsMaintain currency in employment and benefit laws and other HR related mattersOperate standard office equipment and use required software applicationsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of:
Advanced concepts, principles and practices of the various disciplines of Human Resources including Employee Relations, Performance Management, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS Administration, FMLA and Worker's CompensationAdvanced concepts, principles and practices of federal and state employment laws and practicesSkill in:
Excellent oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsMarketing and brandingProject managementCritical thinking and problem resolutionOperating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications, including Microsoft OfficeAbility to:
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writingGather information, identify linkages and trends and apply findings to assignmentsInterpret and apply policies and identify and recommend changes as appropriatePartner with other functional areas to accomplish objectivesIncite enthusiasm and influence, motivate and persuade others to achieve desired outcomesAttend to detail, while maintaining a "big picture" orientationOrganize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlinesWork independently as well as collaboratively within a team environmentHandle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional mannerEstablish and maintain effective working relationships both within the organization and with external partners, specifically community partnersEducational/Previous Experience Requirements: Minimum Degree Required:Bachelor's degreeMaster's degree preferredRequired Disciplines:Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field~and~
At least four years of experience in human resources, marketing, and/or operations, preferably in a nonprofit setting, with experience leading recruiting, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives.Any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by Human ResourcesLicenses/Certifications: Licenses/Certifications Required at Date of Hire:PHR or SHRM-CP preferredWorking Conditions: Hours: Normal business hours, some additional hours may be required
Travel Required: Local travel up to 15%
