Mission Children's is the region's only children's hospital covering western North Carolina with 60 pediatric subspecialists in 23 different disciplines 51-bed, Level-III NICU staffed by our Neonatology team 34 bed Mother Baby Unit 19 bed Pediatric Unit 9 Bed PICU staffed by our Pediatric Intensivist team Opportunity to work with MAHEC Family Medicine Residents and UNC Medical Students Strong MFM program and new MFM Fellowship; good relationships with OBs and MAHEC OB/GYN Residency An average of 3,000 patient admissions to our pediatric inpatient units Approximately 4000 deliveries per year Approximately 4,500 pediatric surgeries, and 14,000 pediatric visits to our emergency department per year Dedicated infant transport team serving a 55-county area Whether you enjoy outdoor adventures, arts and culture, live music, shopping or fine cuisine, Asheville offers something for everyone!
