One position for an hourly Predictive Maintenance Specialist within the Maintenance Support Department is now open at the Natchitoches EWP mill. The qualified candidate would have comprehensive knowledge of rotating equipment and a willingness to become an expert in vibration analysis, alignment, balancing, non-destructive testing, data assessment, and bearings. This position will help to develop reliability and operational excellence to ensure continuous process improvement, including training individuals on the basics of their skills sets to further develop reliability-centered maintenance at the mill. This role would report to the Maintenance Manager.
The hourly wage for this role is $32.12.
KEY FUNCTIONS:
* Perform instrumentation installation & calibration, process control troubleshooting & programming, drive installation & programming for all plant areas.* Provide technical assistance to specify and develop improvements in complex instrumentation, automation, and process control & motion control systems.* Deliver troubleshooting support plant-wide, while maintaining and enhancing the engineering process control philosophy, strategy, and controls standard operating procedures.* Assist electrical technicians with troubleshooting during downtime events.* Use hand tools to complete jobs, verify voltage, and train/mentor others on electrical knowledge.* Lend expertise to departments to ensure understanding of process control characteristics and PID loop tuning.* Assist in mentoring and training of maintenance associates in electrical systems, PLC & motion control systems.* Develop/maintain plant standards for instrumentation.* Work with power distribution systems including switchgear, transformers and MCC maintenance.* Maintain broad-based product knowledge including Variable Frequency Drives (Allen Bradley), PLC's (Allen Bradley), Motion Control, Coordinated Drive Systems, Instrumentation, Process Control, HMI Software, and Network design experience with Ethernet.* Develop an understanding of the EWP manufacturing process and opportunities for continuous improvement.* Troubleshoot basic LAN connections.* Other duties as assigned.* High School Diploma or GED required.* Experience in an industrial setting.* Four (4) or more years of experience and/or equivalent education/training.* Be willing to get MLA1 certified within a year of taking on this role.* Willing and able to travel for training (10%).
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
* Experience using DMS or similar vibration software vibration software.* Experience in vibration, bearings, and gear analysis.* Experience in alignment and balancing.* Experience with ultrasound and thermography.* Understand and operate Emerson 2140 vibration tool or certified within a year of taking on this role.* Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical operations (pumps, fans, flows, etc.) and use of technical math skills preferred.* Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
