Description/Job Summary
When you join the Farm Credit East payroll team, you will be a part of a knowledgeable, friendly and supportive team. We invest in your personal development and provide specialized training to make you an expert on the payroll rules impacting farm businesses. We offer a hybrid workplace after six months and the flexibility to choose from 4 offices across the northeast. Our customers range from small family farms to highly sophisticated agri-businesses and we provide both compliance and advisory services to make their businesses more successful. Duties and Responsibilities
Processes all aspects of the customer's payroll utilizing Payroll Relief Software
Review customer time sheets and complete payroll process that meet customer timelines
Verify and calculate hours worked, bonuses, and deductions such as taxes, benefits and garnishments.
Maintain customer payroll records
Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve errors
Provide outstanding customer service
Provide support and instruction to maintain strong relationships with clients
Keep current with new and changes federal and state tax laws
Provide backup for other areas within the department
Required Education
Position requires an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field. Payroll and/or bookkeeping experience preferred. The successful candidate must take and pass Farm Credit East's Payroll Specialist Accreditation program. Salary range: $45,000-$65,000 commensurate with experience.
